If you wish to make this easy, decadent dark chocolate mousse you will need the following :
1 (14 ounce) can coconut milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
7 ounces (200 grams) OR 150 grams (for a less sweet mousse) of chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa) chips or chocolate bar chopped in coarse chunks
1 pinch of Himalayan salt, optional
Once you have all the ingredients for the chocolate mousse, proceed as follows:
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring coconut milk to steaming (small bubbles appearing around the edges of the pot). Make sure the coconut milk does not boil!
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Add chocolate pieces and gently stir until mixture is smooth.
- Pour into four dessert glass tumblers and chill in the fridge for 3 hours.
You can add some chocolate shavings if you really want to impress your guests.
Easy, chocolaty, creamy, healthy, vegan… what is there not to like about this mousse?!
