Chocolate Mousse

If you wish to make this easy, decadent dark chocolate mousse you will need the following :

1 (14 ounce) can coconut milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
7 ounces (200 grams) OR 150 grams (for a less sweet mousse) of chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa) chips or chocolate bar chopped in coarse chunks
1 pinch of Himalayan salt, optional


Once you have all the ingredients for the chocolate mousse, proceed as follows:

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, bring coconut milk to steaming (small bubbles appearing around the edges of the pot). Make sure the coconut milk does not boil!
  2. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract. Add chocolate pieces and gently stir until mixture is smooth.
  3. Pour into four dessert glass tumblers and chill in the fridge for 3 hours.

You can add some chocolate shavings if you really want to impress your guests.

Easy, chocolaty, creamy, healthy, vegan… what is there not to like about this mousse?!
