This article is not about proper nutrition and proper drinking, sorry. I’m offering you a lifeboat so the aforementioned bad symptoms are avoided or at least minimized. If you drink the following five nectars of the gods almost everyday, you will significantly improve your chances of alleviating your post excess discomfort.
Sprirulina or Chlorella : ¼ teaspoon in a glass of filtered water
Yes, it smells and taste like algae but it’s a true superfood. Spirulina and Chorella are very high in protein, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and enzymes. Also, they are highly alkaline forming and great antioxidants.
I have discovered a great tasting probiotic drink called Kevita. It’s available in many delicious flavors such as Lemon and Ginger, Mango Coconut, Mojita Lime Mint Coconut, Lemon Cayenne, Strawberry Acai Coconut, etc. Ask for Kevita at your local natural foods store, they probably already have it in stock.
Here are the beneficial cultures you will ingest when you drink this fermented drink :
- Lactobacillus rhamnosus : supports bacterial balance and healthy skin, helps fight urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, and reduces anxiety by reducing stress hormones. It’s also the most promising bacteria in assisting in weight loss.
- Bacillus coagulans : this probiotic bacteria improves nutrient absorption. Furthermore, it has been shown to reduce inflammation and symptoms of arthritis.
- Lactobacillus casei : will help support immunity and help fight infections
Kombucha is a fermented tea, rich in organic acids, active enzymes and antioxidants. It helps improve the body’s digestive strength, its a natural muscle relaxant and a liver detoxifier. In addition, it helps speed cellular recovery.
Yes, it might seem expensive for a small bottle, but it’s worth the splurge. Either pay now with your pocket book or later with your health. Read more about this product in my Gut Shots review. When you drink a bit of Gut Shots daily, you are also consuming cultures of Lactobacillus brevis which boost cellular immunity, enhances natural T-killer cells and kill h. pylori bacteria.
But, if you are looking for an inexpensive alternative, I recommend you eat 2 tablespoons of raw sauerkraut daily which will also contain a great dose of nutrients and friendly bacteria.
Raw apple cider vinegar (1 tablespoon in a glass of filtered water)
Raw apple cider vinegar has alkalizing attributes and aids digestion. If your vinegar does not mention the word raw on the label you are not on the right track.
The choice is yours
In the end, you could just opt for a glass of water and a pill, but you won’t get all the benefits of these 5 drinks. So how good do you want to feel in 2019?
