Tofu Recipe with Orange Teriyaki Sauce

Serves 4

For this flavorful tofu recipe with orange juice you will need:

2 blocks of Non GMO or organic tofu, well drained and wrapped in paper towel to absorb maximum humidity, and cut in 1,5 inch cubes

6 tablespoons of tamari

2 tablespoon sesame oil

1 cup orange juice

4 tablespoon rice vinegar

4 tablespoon honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Ginger, finely minced or 1 teaspoon powdered Ginger

½ teaspoon hot chile Pepper, minced (optional)

1- In a mixing bowl, whisk all the ingredients well, except the tofu. Pour marinade into a container and submerge tofu, allow to sit 1 to 3 hours.

2- Place tofu in a frying pan, half of the cubes at a time and brown on each sides, on medium-high and set aside on a plate.

3- Once all the tofu cubes are browned, add the remaining marinade in the pan and cook while stirring until a sirupy consistency is obtained. Put the tofu pieces back in the pan and cover with the sauce. Serve immediately.
