Ingredients

All you need are a few large kale leaves, olive or avocado oil, and sea or Himalayan salt!

Kale baked in the oven at a low temperature to prevent browning/burning

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F.

  2. Wash and pat dry your kale leaves with a clean towel. Pull the kale away from stem, and use only the leafy part of the plant for this recipe. You can store the kale stems in an airtight container in the freezer and add them to your smoothies later on.

  3. Tear the kale into several pieces.

  4. In a large mixing bowl, using your hands or a spatula, lightly massage the kale leaves with a lug of olive oil and a good pinch of sea salt.

  5. Lay kale out in a single layer on a parchment-lined cookie sheet and bake for about 15 minutes. Be careful to watch your chips during cooking so that they are crisp, but not brown because if they turn brown, they will have a bitter taste.

Enjoy as a snack or as a crispy meal topping!
