Dark chocolate mousse, vegan and gluten-free

This is an easy dark chocolate mousse recipe that requires only 3 ingredients. It's super creamy, chocolaty, decadent, vegan and healthy! For a healthier twist, you can add nut butter to your mousse.

Creamy dairy-free dark chocolate mousse

Ingredients

1 (14 ounce) can coconut milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
7 ounces (200 grams) or 150 grams (for a less sweet mousse) of vegan chocolate (minimum 70% cocoa) chips or chocolate bar chopped in coarse chunks
1 pinch of Himalayan salt, optional

Optional : 1 tablespoon of any nut butter of your choice for a less sweet dessert, with a nutty accent

Instructions

1.     In a medium saucepan, over medium heat, bring coconut milk to steaming (small bubbles appearing around the edges of the pot). Make sure the coconut milk does not boil!

2.     Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Add chocolate pieces and gently stir until mixture is smooth. Add the optional nut butter for a less sweet, more dense mousse.

3.     Pour into four dessert glass tumblers and chill in the fridge for 3 hours.

You can add some chocolate shavings or crushed nuts if you really want to impress your family or guests.
